Albinon The Albino

Nightfall #4

Summer, 1997. The Stockholm Water Festival is fully underway, and police officer Tomas Wolf has brought his children to the boating competition. The whole audience is shocked when a dead body rises to the surface right in front of them. The deceased has a partially scraped off tattoo, which Tomas vaguely recognizes from his days as a UN soldier in the Balkans.

Meanwhile, journalist Vera Berg obtains an assault rifle on a deserted parking lot in Malmö. Her goal is to show her readers how easy it is to buy weapons. But this weapons deal brings her closer to the criminal motorcycle gangs she used to be in touch with.

On their separate ends, Tomas and Vera start pulling a thread that leads to a flare-up between the Yugoslavian mafia and the motorcycle gangs. Before summer turns to fall, a full storm arises.

The Albino is the fourth installment in Engman & Selåker’s lauded Nightfall series.
