‘In Every Moment We Are Still Alive’ a New York Times Recommended Title
The New York Times Book Review has chosen Tom Malmquist’s In Every Moment We Are Still Alive as one of their 12 New Books We Recommend This Week. Lauding In Every Moment We Are Still Alive as “harrowing” and a “searing autobiographical novel,” the list quotes The New York Times’ Katie Kitamura’s rave review of the novel:
“This is narrative as raw material […] A novel about permeability, ‘In Every Moment We Are Still Alive’ captures the jumbled sensory experience of being profoundly, catastrophically overwhelmed. … It’s clear that Malmquist is explicitly interested in what can’t be contained, what continues to trouble.”
