‘A Man Called Ove’ on the New York Times Best Seller List
A Man Called Ove, Fredrik Backman’s international sensation, comes in at No. 5 on the New York Times Best Seller List this week. This marks the 68th consecutive week for the novel on the list. On the combined print and eBook list, A Man Called Ove is No. 8.

‘The Rabbit Hunter’ No. 1 in Finland
The Finnish bestseller list for March has just been announced and Lars Kepler’s The Rabbit Hunter, published in Finland by mid-March, is No. 1 on the hardcover list for translated fiction.

‘The Thirst’ No. 1 in Greece
Published in Greece on Friday last week, Jo Nesbø’s The Thirst is No. 1 on the Greek bestseller list this week.

‘The Flood’ No. 1 in Sweden
Kristina Ohlsson’s The Flood – the sixth installment in her Fredrika Bergman series – is now No. 1 on the bestseller list of the biggest Swedish bookstore chain, Akademibokhandeln.

‘The Thirst’ No. 1 in Croatia and No. 2 in Italy
Jo Nesbø’s The Thirst was published in Croatia last week and is No. 1 on the Croatian bestseller list this week. Italy published the novel late last month and it has reached the No. 2 spot on Italy’s official bestseller list for hardcover fiction, all genres, and No. 1 on the Italian e-book list, all genres.

‘The Thirst’ No. 1 in Slovakia and Poland
Jo Nesbø’s The Thirst continues to top the bestseller lists, hitting No. 1 also in Slovakia and Poland. The novel is now No. 1 in five countries: Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Slovakia and Poland.

James Bond screenwriters are adapting Jo Nesbø’s ‘I Am Victor’ for Baltasar Kormákur
Jo Nesbø’s I Am Victor has been acquired by Fredrik Wikström Nicastro at SF Studios, who will produce the project together with Icelandic director and producer Baltasar Kormákur for RVK Studios. Kormákur (Everest, Contraband, 2 Guns) is also attached to direct and James Bond screenwriters Neal Purvis and Robert Wade are adapting the screenplay. Jo Nesbø and Niclas Salomonsson are Executive Producers on the project.
Purvis and Wade have been the 007’s go-to scriptwriters going back to 1999’s The World Is Not Enough. Their last feature collaboration was on 2015’s Spectre, and they are thought to be reteaming on Bond 25.
I Am Victor is an upcoming novel by Jo. It’s a thriller about a skilled but morally corrupt and narcissistic divorce attorney. When he finds himself framed for a series of brutal murders, he embarks on his own investigation to find the killer.

‘A Man Called Ove’ and ‘My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry’ on the New York Times Best Seller List
Fredrik Backman’s A Man Called Ove comes in at No. 3 on the New York Times Best Seller List. This marks the 66th week for A Man Called Ove on the list. My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry likewise stays on the list at No. 9 in its 50th week. On the combined print and eBook list, A Man Called Ove rises to No. 5, which marks its 45th week on that particular list.

Nesbø and Maguire team to bring ‘Blood on Snow’ to the big screen
It’s now official that the film rights to Jo Nesbø’s critically acclaimed, stand-alone novel Blood on Snow have been acquired by Tobey Maguire’s production company MATERIAL and Lawrence Grey’s Grey Matter Productions.
Together with Maguire’s MATERIAL partner Matthew Plouffe, they will produce a feature film adaptation with actor and producer Tobey Maguire looking to direct the project.
Jo Nesbø will adapt the screenplay based on his own book. Nesbø and Niclas Salomonsson are Executive Producers on the project.
