2015 was a great year for The Rabbit Who Wants To Fall Asleep around the globe. In its home country Sweden, the book became the most sold children’s and YA book of the year.

Best Crime Novels of 2015 according to Dagens Nyheter
Dagens Nyheter, the most prestigious newspaper in Sweden, has listed the best crime novels of 2015. Among the 30 Swedish and international titles are Jo Nesbø’s Blood on Snow, Anne Holt and Even Holt’s Sudden Death, Hjorth & Rosenfeldt’s Those Who Failed and Jørn Lier Horst’s The Caveman.

Michael Fassbender is Harry Hole
It has just been announced that ‘The Snowman’, the movie based on Jo Nesbø’s novel with the same name, will premier in US theaters on Friday 13th, October 2017. Starring as detective Harry Hole is Michael Fassbender (X-Men, Steve Jobs) alongside co-stars Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible – Rouge Nation) and Charlotte Gainsbourg (Antichrist, Independence Day: Resurgence).
The film is directed by Tomas Alfredson (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Let the Right One In) and produced by Working Title Films in association with Another Park Film. The thriller is executive produced by Jo Nesbø, Niclas Salomonsson, Martin Scorsese, Tomas Alfredson, Liza Chasin and Amelia Granger.

‘William Wenton and the Luridium Thief’ chosen as one of 2015’s best books by NRK
Norway’s public service radio and television NRK have picked out 2015’s best children’s books and William Wenton and the Luridium Thief is one of the titles in the spotlight! The rights to Bobbie Peers’ debut children’s novel has so far been sold to 35 territories.

‘The Arc of the Swallow’ chosen as one of 2015’s 10 best mysteries
Sissel Jo Gazan’s The Arc of the Swallow has been selected by The Wall Street Journal as one of their top 10 mysteries of 2015. The Wall Street Journal praised the novel as “intriguing” and Gazan as “an imaginative Danish writer”.

Speaking of Stories – Jens Lapidus and Ryan Gattis
Today marks the premier of the podcast ‘Speaking of Stories’, where Jens Lapidus and Ryan Gattis, author of All Involved, are the first guest speakers. ‘Speaking of Stories’ is a podcast wherein two writers meet to talk about not only about their writing, but current events, society, and culture in general. Bobbie Peers’ William Wenton and the Luridium Thief has now been sold to 31 territories! The novel, Bobbie Peers’ literary debut, has been hailed as a children’s book of international proportions by Norwegian press. William Wenton and the Luridium Thief is also the winner of the 2015 Ark’s Children’s Book Award.

Oksanen, Nesbø and Lapidus on the Finnish bestseller list
Norma by Sofi Oksanen is No. 3 on the official Finnish bestseller list this month. Jo Nesbø’s Midnight Sun and Blood on Snow is No. 2 and No. 4 respectively and Jens Lapidus’ Stockholm Delete is No. 3 on the Finnish bestseller list for translated fiction. Jo Nesbø’s The Son is No. 2 on the paperback list.

The Grand Audiobook Prize 2015
Kristina Ohlsson’s Mio’s Blues, Liza Marklund’s The Final Word, Jo Nesbø’s Midnight Sun, Hjorth & Rosenfeldt’s Those Who Failed, Jens Lapidus’ Stockholm Delete and Leif GW Persson’s The Bomb Maker and his Woman have been shortlisted for the Swedish book award The Grand Audiobook Prize in the Crime & Thriller category. The Blue Star by Jan Guillou is shortlisted in the Literary Fiction category and Kristina Ohlsson’s The Glass Children and The Silver Boy are shortlisted in the Children’s & Young Adult category. The prize is awarded to the book and its narrator both, and the winners will be crowned in March 2016 at the Grand Audiobook Gala in Stockholm.

Patti Smith Grammy nomination for ‘Blood On Snow’
It has just been announced that Patti Smith is nominated for a Grammy in the ‘Best Spoken Word Album’ category for her performance as the narrator for the audiobook version of Jo Nesbø’s Blood on Snow. The other nominees are Jimmy Carter, Janis Ian and Jean Smart, Amy Poehler and Dick Cavett. The winner will be announced at the Grammy ceremony in Los Angeles on February 15th 2016.
