Ia Genberg’s ‘The Details’ nominated for the Vi Literary Award
Ia Genberg’s award-winning The Details has been nominated for the 2022 Magazine Vi’s Literary Award.
The jury’s motivation reads as follows:
“With humor and thorough melancholy, in The Details, Ia Genberg shows how we prevail through each other. The novel portrays and casts light on four relationships which once shook existence. With a meticulous psychological ear, the past is written just as vividly as life itself.”
The award was founded in 1947 and has been granted to Astrid Lindgren, Mikael Niemi, Sara Stridsberg, and Lina Wolff amongst others.

Sofi Oksanen awarded the Estonia Foreign Ministry’s Cross of Merit, Second Class
This year, the Crosses of Merit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are awarded to diplomats and partners from Estonia and beyond for their notable contribution to the Estonian foreign service, foreign policy objectives and Estonian statehood.
Sofi Oksanen received the Cross of Merit, Second Class, by virtue of having raised awareness of Estonian history, and boosting Estonia’s profile internationally, through her writing.

As Amazon UK lists their Top 20 Most Sold Books of the Week, Fredrik Backman’s A Man Called Ove claims the No. 2 spot in the fiction category.

Anders Rydell nominated for Spanish historical literature award.
Anders Rydell’s The Book Thieves has been nominated for the much distinguished Hislibris Historical Literature Awards in the category Best Historical Non-fiction.
Hislibris is the largest community of history bloggers in Spain, and each year, its members vote for their favorite books. The winner of each category will then be chosen by a jury consisting of members of the Hispanic community.

New author: Moa Herngren
Moa Herngren (b.1969) is the Swedish author of the gripping and highly acclaimed relationship dramas The Mother-in-Law and The Divorce.
