Beyond Rescue, the fourth installment in Kristina Ohlsson’s bestselling August Strindberg series, climbs the Norwegian bestseller list and lands the No. 2 spot on the e-book list, and shoots to No. 4 on the hardcover list this week.

Actors Millie Bobby Brown, Chris Pratt, and Avengers directors Anthony and Joe Russo are heading to New York Comic Con to discuss their upcoming film The Electric State, based on Simon Stålenhag’s work.
The official Netflix panel for The Electric State is set for Thursday, October 17th, at NYCC, where attendees will be treated to an exclusive sneak peek of the highly anticipated action-adventure movie, which is set for release next year.
Quisling: The Final Days had its international premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 8, where it was very well-received. Since its premiere, it has been met with fantastic reviews in Norwegian as well as international press.
The script is written by Anna Bache-Wiig and Siv Rajendram Eliassen with Erik Poppe directing.
The Quisling-project also includes a TV series for TV2, which goes further into the stories surrounding Quisling. A premiere date for the TV series will be announced soon.
Martin Widmark remains at No. 1 in the children’s category with The Space Mystery this week. Meanwhile, Anders de la Motte’s The Glass Man, takes the No. 2 spot on the paperback list, closely followed by Stina Jackson’s Ruin the World Tonight, which comes in at No. 4.
The Petrona Award’s jury has just presented its longlist for the 2024 Petrona Award for ‘Best Scandinavian Crime Novel of the Year.’
Among the 10 nominees are Jørn Lier Horst & Thomas Enger with Stigma, Jørn Lier Horst with Snowfall, and Yrsa Sigurdardóttir’s The Prey.
The shortlist will be announced on 10 October 2024.

Moa Herngren’s bestselling title The Divorce is No. 2 in Finland across all formats this week, and No. 1 in the audiobook and e-book for translated fiction category. Meanwhile, Jørn Lier Horst’s When It Grows Dark comes in at No. 1 in the category for printed, translated books.
Cina Friedner’s The Worst Thing That Could Happen is Everything has been shortlisted for this year’s Children’s Novel Prize in Karlstad. Sixth-grade students in Karlstad will read and work with the nominated books during the upcoming semester, after which they will vote for their favorite.
In December, more than 800 students from 17 different schools will choose the best book.

SVT’s Smärtpunkten, depicting the controversy surrounding Lars Norén’s infamous play 7:3, received Kristallen’s prestigious ‘Best Drama Series Award.’
Smärtpunkten is directed by Sanna Lenken and stars Martin Nick Alexandersson, David Dencik, Maria Sid, Einar-Hugo Strömberg and Linus Gustafsson.
