Thomas Enger (b. 1973) is a former journalist and number-one bestselling author of the Henning Juul and, with co-author Jørn Lier Horst, the international bestselling Blix & Ramm series.

Johana Gustawsson (b. 1978) is known as the Queen of French Noir, and similarly has a journalistic background. Gustawsson is a highly regarded, award-winning author, notably of the internationally bestselling Roy & Castells series.

Just published in Iceland, Annette Bjergfeldt’s Mr Saito’s Traveling Cinema claims the No.1 spot on the bestseller list for all books and formats at largest book retail chain Eymundsson. Meanwhile, Sofi Oksanen’s Same River Twice – Putin’s War Against Women, leads the non-fiction list and ranks No. 2 on the overall bestseller chart.

The upcoming Netflix thriller series The Glass Dome is based on a story idea by Camilla Läckberg, and directed by Henrik Björn and Lisa Farzaneh.

The Glass Dome stars Léonie Vincent and Johan Hedenberg in prominent roles, and premieres globally on April 15th.

Series Mania has unveiled its selection of titles which will be competing this year. A Life’s Worth, written by Mona Masri and Oliver Dixon, has been selected for International Panorama.

A Life’s Worth, which is inspired by Magnus Ernström’s autobiographical novel, explores the challenges facing the first Swedish UN battalion in Bosnia, as four young soldiers go on their first mission in 1993. The show stars Edvin Ryding, Johan Rheborg and is directed by Ahmed Abdullahi.

Series Mania takes place in Lille, France, from March 21 to 28.

Less than a week after its release, the Russo brothers’ adaptation of Simon Stålenhag’s narrative art book, has become the No. 1 film on Netflix worldwide, with more than 25.2 million views.

The Electric State follows a young woman (played by Millie Bobby Brown) who embarks on a perilous journey across the robot-ravaged US, accompanied by a mysterious toy robot and a roguish smuggler (Chris Pratt). Together, they’ll unravel a mechanical conspiracy at the center of the American heartland.
