Pascal Engman & Johannes Selåker

Pascal Engman (b. 1986) is the journalist-turned-author who debuted in 2017 with The Patriots and followed up with the internationally bestselling series about detective Vanessa Frank. With the Vanessa Frank series, Engman established his position as one of Sweden’s most prominent thriller authors.

Johannes Selåker (b. 1987) is a journalist and author who has worked as a news director and editor-in-chief at some of Sweden’s biggest newspapers. In 2023, the first installment in his crime series Bloodline was published, about the charismatic but troubled journalist Selma Halilovic.

Together, Engman and Selåker have written the Nightfall series, where policeman and former UN soldier Tomas Wolf joins forces with evening news journalist Vera Berg. The author duo’s journalistic penmanship and love for the crime genre is evident throughout the series.

Jo Nesbø’s new standalone novel, Wolf Hour, published just yesterday, went straight to No. 1 on both the fiction and e-book bestseller lists. Meanwhile, Pascal Engman’s Bestseller and X claimed the No. 1 and No. 2 spots in the paperback category. Additionally, The Night Wanderer, by Pascal Engman and Johannes Selåker, secured the No. 5 position on the fiction list.
