Internationally acclaimed screenwriting duo Mai Brostrøm and Peter Thorsboe are the recipients of several Emmy Awards. The duo is known for hit shows such as The Protectors (2009-2010), The Team (2015), and Modus (2015-2017). They began their partnership in 2000, when writing the TV-series Unit One (2000-2004), created by Peter Thorsboe. Unit One was awarded with an International Emmy in 2002 for ‘Best Drama’. It was also awarded ‘Best Drama’ by the Copenhagen TV Festival.
Other productions include the Emmy Award winner The Eagle (2004-2006), an international audience favorite, as well as Modus 2 (2017) which was nominated for ‘Best Returning Drama Series’ at C21 International Drama Awards.
Brostrøm and Thorsboe are the creators and writers of the elevated thriller series Oxen, adapted from the bestselling crime novels by Danish author Jens Henrik Jensen, about military veteran Niels Oxen. Oxen was the most watched TV series in Denmark in 2023, with spectacular 1.3 million views.
During the 1960s and 1970s, Peter Thorsboe worked as playwright and director of several theatre productions while also writing for the experimental film scene in Copenhagen. In 1980 he attended the scriptwriting program at the Danish Film School. During and after his studies he wrote several TV-series for television. In 2003 he was awarded the Nordic Film Prize.
Mai Brostrøm has worked previously as both a director’s assistant and with theater productions. In 1986, she graduated from the Actors’ Academy of Denmark and began working as an actress. Brostrøm starred in several productions leading up to 1994, when she began attending the screenwriting program at the National Film School of Denmark.
Together, Peter Thorsboe & Mai Brostrøm have written over two-hundred hours of primetime television drama.

Danish TV 2 has released the trailer for the new thriller series Oxen, created by Emmy-award-winning duo Mai Brostrøm and Peter Thorsboe, and directed by Jannik Johansen. Oxen is the television adaptation of the international bestselling book series of the same name by Jens Henrik Jensen recounting the story of war veteran Niels Oxen.
The six-episode series will premiere October 22 on TV 2 Play and October 29 on TV 2.

The six-episode series is created by Emmy-award-winning duo Mai Brostrøm and Peter Thorsboe, and directed by Jannik Johansen. In the star-studded cast we find Jacob Lohmann, Ellen Hillingsø, Josephine Park and Birgitte Hjort Sørensen.
Filming has just begun near Copenhagen, and the premiere on TV2 and TV2 Play is set for 2023.

Each year the guild hands out an honorary award to those who have particularly excelled in their field. This year, the winners are Mai Brostrøm and Peter Thorsboe. Modus 2 has been announced as one of the finalists in C21’s International Drama Awards, which are voted for by the world’s leading scripted commissioners and buyers. Modus 2 is joined in the category ‘Best Returning Drama Series’ by The Handmaid’s Tale, Stranger things and Ozark, among others.
The hit TV series, one of the most successful Scandinavian series to have aired on BBC, is written by the acclaimed screenwriting duo Mai Brostrøm and Peter Thorsboe. Lisa Siwe is the concept director for the second season and Miso Film is the production company behind the praised crime series, which is based on Anne Holt’s Inger Johanne Vik series.
The winners will be announced at the International Drama Awards ceremony on November 28 as part of Content London 2018.
Greg Wise (The Crown) and Billy Campbell (The Killing, Cardinal) are set to join Kim Cattrall in the second season of Modus (the Swedish hit TV-series based on Anne Holt’s Inger Johanne Vik series).
Both the first and second season of Modus have been adapted for the small screen by Emmy winning screenwriters Peter Thorsboe and Mai Brostrøm (The Protectors, The Team, Unit One). Directing are acclaimed director Lisa Siwe (The Bridge, Glowing Stars) and Håkan Lindhé.
The second season will start airing this fall on TV4’s streaming service C More.

Kim Cattrall will join the cast for the second season of Modus, the hit TV series based on Anne Holt’s Inger Johanne Vik series. In the upcoming season, Cattrall will play the U.S. President, arriving in Stockholm for a state visit. The trip soon turns out to have unexpected and devastating consequences.
Modus is produced by Miso Film. The second season is currently in production and will air this fall.
