Markus Haglund (Mikael Persbrandt) is a criminal law professor fond of liquor, promiscuous relationships and disobeying superiors. At Uppsala University in Uppsala, Sweden, he establishes a class of 4 law students, Anna, Fia, Belal and Roger Andersson. The class is called Innocently Convicted, and deals with cases where someone is already sentenced and imprisoned, assisting the convicted in fight for their innocence and freedom.
